About Our Early Childhood Education Classes

Arboretum Sprouts: 1 and 2 year old children with a caregiver
Turtle Tots: 3 to 5 year old children (drop off) 

Our early childhood education programs are weekly classes where your youngest learners can explore the natural world through stories, songs, hikes and hands-on learning.  Join us at the Arboretum and allow your child’s sense of wonder room to grow.

Fall Turtle Tots

Tuesdays, September 19th to December 5th
3:00-4:30 pm

Fridays, September 15th to December 8th
12:00- 2:30 pm

Turtle Tots is a weekly class where your preschooler will discover nature through guided hikes, games, and hands-on learning. Your child will be introduced to topics such as: bears, wolves, migration, and many other aspects of the natural world.

 

For all classes, please bring a healthy snack.  Friday classes, please pack a lunch and a healthy snack.  Children must be 3 years old by August 1st and be able to use the bathroom alone.  Pre-registration, membership and health forms required.

Tuesdays 3:00-4:30 pm

Fridays 12:00- 2:30pm

Afternoon classes, please pack a lunch.  Children must be 3 years old by September 1st and be able to use the bathroom alone.  Pre-Registration, Membership, and Health Forms are required.

Arboretum Sprouts

noor-and-ian_sproutsA weekly class where children and a parent/caregiver explore the natural world through songs, games, crafts and a hike.  Each week we explore a different seasonally appropriate, nature based topic.

Children must be 1 year old by August 1st and accompanied by a caregiver.

Health Forms

If your child is participating in any of our weekly classes (Turtle Tots or After school Clubs) or camps, please be sure to have a health form completed and given to us by the first class. This ensures the health and safety of all of our participants!

Parent/Guardian Handbook

Please read through our Parent/Guardian handbook for useful information about Arboretum program rules and procedures. All program participants need to sign and return the agreement (found on the last page) two weeks before the start of a camp and/or Arboretum program. Cancellation Policy

Registrations are accepted in the order they are received. All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Cancellations must be made 2 weeks prior to the start of the program. Refunds will be made except for a $50 non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made after the program begins will require a doctor’s note for a refund minus the non-refundable deposit. All returned checks received will be charged an additional $50 fee deduction for bank charges. CHA has the right to cancel any program and CHA will refund the full amount that was paid.
