Escape the Arboretum

FeederWatch Frenzy

Saturday, March 29th between 9 AM & 7 PM

Groups of 2-10 are invited to test their code cracking skills as they try to solve the mystery of the missing ornithology professor, and complete their final class assessment on time! Groups will have 45 minutes to decipher clues and gather all necessary materials to “complete their final exam.” Do you have what it takes?

“You and your group are graduate students at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. As part of your final grade, your professor, Dr. Robin Swift, has required you to participate in a citizen science program called FeederWatch. As a proud supporter of the FeederWatch program, The Cora Hartshorn Arboretum agreed to host your class for your FeederWatch assessment and final thesis review. However, when you arrived at CHA for your final assessment, Dr. Swift was nowhere to be found. After contacting the school to determine your next course of action, your advisor, Dr. Jay Crane informs you that the lab’s Director is not interested in rescheduling your project assessment. Now, in order to pass the class, you must solve puzzles put in place by your professor, and gather all necessary materials to complete your project before time runs out. Who knows, maybe you will solve the mystery of your missing professor along the way.”
