Arboretum Sprouts
18 months – 3 year olds

Arboretum Sprouts is a weekly class where children and a parent/caregiver explore the natural world through songs, games, and a hike (weather permitting).
Children must be 18 months old by January 1st 2021 (up to three year olds) and accompanied by a caregiver. Limited space available as some classes may take place inside due to weather. Caregivers are required to wear masks.

Pre-registration is required.

4 Year olds – Kindergarteners

Fridays 2:30-4pm

Children will learn about nature and observe the changes that take place throughout the forest during Fall. Each class is an hour and a half long and costs $35. Sign up for one class or everyday of the week, you can register for different days each week.

1st and 2nd Graders

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 3:30pm-5pm

Children will explore the woods and learn about what all the animals and plants are doing in the spring. Classes will be outside as much as possible and will have a maximum of 8 participants, all are required to wear masks. Each class is an hour and a half long and cost $35. If you are registering for a lot of classes or have any confusion, please call the arboretum at 973-376-3587 and we can register you over the phone. Health and Emergency Form and COVID-19 release form are required.

3rd and 4th Graders

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 3:30pm-5pm

Students will learn about plants, animals, and other organisms and how they all work together to make a healthy environment. Classes will be outside as much as possible and will have a maximum of 8 participants, all are required to wear masks. Each class is an hour and a half long and cost $35.
