World Series of Birding

The World Series of Birding is a competition where teams try to identify the greatest number of bird species in an area over a 24 hour time period. This year the event will take place on May 13th, 2023.

Once again we are participating in The World Series of Birding! Please support the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum (CHA) as we participate in this bird conservation event. Conservation is one of the main missions of the Arboretum. Our founder, Cora Hartshorn, wanted the Arboretum to be an oasis for birds and other wildlife in the region. The staff of CHA will be spending the day looking for as many bird species as they can find in Essex county, the data collected will help NJ Audubon track bird diversity and populations throughout the state.
