Are you interested in nature, need volunteer hours for school, looking to spend quality time outdoors, or meet like-minded individuals. Then, look no further. The Cora Hartshorn Arboretum’s new High School Volunteer Days were created just for you.
High School Volunteer Days are designed to provide local high school students with opportunities to work hands-on in nature with the support and guidance from environmental professionals. Volunteer tasks are centered around conservation and environmental activism include forest restoration, trail maintenance, and assistance with education programs. Volunteers are expected to dress comfortably with sturdy walking shoes and come prepared to work outside.
Volunteer days throughout the 2024-2025 school year are run monthly on Saturdays from 11 AM-1 PM, plus an additional weekday coinciding with school closures. No experience is needed, and volunteers accepted into our program will be trained on site with the expertise of CHA Staff and Board Members. Prior members of Cora’s Conservation Corps (CCC), are encouraged to check out this new program.
