Introducing a FREE Beginner level CAD workshop. Join members of FTC Team 23650 MillburnX at the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum to learn Computer-Aided Design! Participants will design and customize simple telescopes for birdwatching, which will then be 3D printed to use in real life. This event includes a discussion of CAD applications in robotics as well as a beginner’s guide to native birds to look for.

This event is designed for adults and children 12+ who are interested in technology and how it can be used to help us enjoy nature. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.

Please bring your own laptop to the event. We recommend you create a free account with the CAD software before attending. Parents should complete this process for children under the age of 18. If you do not automatically see the “Free Plan” option, select “see more plans.” You do not need to pay for software for this event.

This is a free event run by a team of students from Millburn High School, no purchase necessary. Like all visits to the Arboretum, donations are greatly appreciated. Donations of any size can be made online or at the door.
